For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the [full, personal] knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue). 2 Peter 1:3 (AMPC)

 Have you been the guest of somebody very important where before you wake up breakfast has already been served, lunch was on the table before you asked and dinner was laid out extravagantly in front of you before you even knew you were hungry. Such extravagance and such generosity lavished upon you not because you asked but because you came to visit. God does even much more than this for you everyday because you dwell permanently in Him, you are always in His house, in His presence, in His Kingdom. He has provided everything you need before you even realised that you needed it.

In Psalm 23, the bible says, ’The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing…He makes me, He leads me, He refreshes me, He guides me, He is with me, He comforts me and He prepares a table before me in the presence of my enemies….He anoints me, my cup overflows, His goodness and love follows me and I dwell in His house forever.’ You are in His house and He knows how to look after you and all of your needs even before you ask Him.

Can you believe this? Can you thank God that all things are already done for you because you are in His house? Can you see yourself with everything you need and rejoice in it, not worrying and not fretting because you know that food will be on the table when morning comes? Jesus tells us to ask God in His name for everything we need because our prayers are the way we release what God has already done and given to us. You cannot pray for something God has not already given to you, you pray according to His will which He has made known to us in His word. Everything you need for this life and godliness is found in the word of God because God already made provision for it in Christ Jesus before you were born.

You will notice that most things relating to the promises of God are usually written in the past tense in the bible. His divine power has already bestowed upon us all things and as we dwell or abide in Him, growing in our personal knowledge of Him we discover how rich we truly are because everything that is necessary for this life and godliness has already been given to us by God.

Believe God today that He has already provided everything you need for life, for your family, for your finances, for your ministry, for your children, for your healing, for everything even before you knew you would need it. Seek out what the word of God says, pray the word and thank God that He has already provided it and so you believe you receive it in Jesus Name. God does not suddenly go into action when you pray, believe it was already there and now you can see it!

So today as you step out in faith rejoicing that God has already provided victory for every area of for your life, I believe that because of Jesus all of your paths are made straight, every valley before you has been filled, and every mountain and hill has been brought low; the crooked has been made straight, and the rough ways has been made smooth; And all flesh shall see the salvation of God in your life in the mighty name of Jesus (Luke 3:4-6). So rejoice in Him and rest in the knowledge of His victory!

Psalm 23: The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me: your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
